Forex, short for “foreign exchange,” refers to the global marketplace where currencies are traded. It is the largest and most liquid financial market in the world, operating 24 hours a day, five days a week. In the Forex market, participants such as banks, financial institutions, corporations, and individual traders buy and sell currency pairs to profit from changes in exchange rates. Forex trading plays a critical role in international business and investment, enabling the conversion of one currency to another for trade and investment purposes.
